Re-Creating a Favorite

Growing up, we had a blanket that was Magical! Taking a nap was always perfect. The blanket was made by my Grandma, and was made of leftover upholstery scraps. The reason it is so magical, is that the fabric is really dense and heavy, making the blanket heavy...which feels like a warm hug. Curling up in a chair with this blanket is the best 20 minute catnap ever!! So, when my old company was clearing out our fabric library, I snaged a bunch of fabrics to take home and recreate the Magical Blanket.
This is the Original Magical Blanket, circa 1970.

This is the updated Magical Blanket 2010.

I LOVE THAT BLANKET, it reminds me of Dad's orange velvet recliner. It matched perfectly!!! Does the new one have a great corduroy back?

yea, it has a fuzzy thick corduroy on the back. It is a very close second to the original
